Testimonials.

Jessica Lovell

Past Grand Worthy Advisor, 1997

This organization propelled my leadership beyond what I thought I was capable of as a girl from a small town. You reach your “majority” at 20, but in trust you are always a rainbow girl. So incredibly grateful for an organization that lifted up young women and one that was far ahead of it’s time.

Tom Rigg

Grand Executive Committee

As a Freemason and the husband of a majority member of Rainbow, I have seen first hand the changes that occur in young ladies who actively participate in Rainbow. The ritual work, the floor work, and the ascension through the bow stations to elected positions of leadership give then a confidence that most would not receive in other organizations. Rainbow teaches respect of self, others, and of adults involved in local assemblies. Unlike other organizations, where the adults are the leaders and the youth merely serve in unofficial capacities, Rainbow has a structure based on youth leadership under the guidance and advice of the adults in local assemblies and through the Grand Executive Committee on the State level.

The ability to serve in community projects that promote Rainbow is essential to the success of each local assembly. It is that bond formed at the international, state, and local level that proves to be the greatest strength of Rainbow. Life-long friendships, travel to other assemblies, ritualistic competitions, and maturity through the teachings of Rainbow are what makes the organization strong for today’s youth.

Michelle McHenry Wellington

Majority Member

My time in Kansas Rainbow helped to shape the person I am today. I learned so many lessons from my fellow rainbow sisters as well as our local and state leaders.

The International Order of Rainbow for Girls emphasis on personal development and community service has taught me the value of empathy, dedication, and perseverance. The supportive community and the multitude of activities have not only enhanced my public speaking and love of community service but also has   enriched my life in countless other ways.

I’m deeply grateful for the experiences and friendships I’ve gained through Kansas Rainbow. It’s been an invaluable part of my journey, and I’m proud to carry the skills and lessons I’ve learned with me into every aspect of my life

Past Grand Worthy Advisor, 2005

Joining the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls (IORG) has been a transformative experience in my life. From the very start, the organization offered me a sense of belonging and a supportive community that I hadn’t found elsewhere.
The leadership skills I’ve developed through IORG have been invaluable. Participating in various ceremonies and taking on roles within the organization taught me how to lead with confidence and responsibility. These experiences have not only shaped my personal growth but have also prepared me for future leadership roles in my community and professional life.
The emphasis on philanthropy and community service has inspired me to give back and make a positive impact. Engaging in service projects and fundraisers allowed me to see the difference that a group of dedicated individuals can make. This spirit of service and compassion has become a core part of who I am.
Moreover, the friendships and bonds I’ve formed are truly special. The camaraderie and mutual support among members have created lasting relationships that extend beyond the organization. I’ve gained a network of friends who share my values and interests, making my journey through IORG even more rewarding.
I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences and opportunities that IORG has provided and look forward to continuing to contribute to this amazing organization.
